HE Zavrelje

Run-of-river high-head plant with a gravity dam, in Mlini (Zupa Dubrovacka), near Dubrovnik. Built 1952, commissioned 1953. Fed by the Zavrelje spring. Concrete gravity dam, 32m long, crest at 79m above sea level (an elevation figure, not a structural dam height -- left DamHeightM blank since no distinct dam-height figure was published), with a 25m flood-overflow spillway. 322m feed canal + a 1.3m-diameter penstock (first 250m reinforced concrete, last 45m steel) to the powerhouse. 1 unit -- a twin/double Francis turbine, horizontal shaft, combined rated flow 2x1.5 m3/s = 3 m3/s. Water discharges to the sea via a channel; a breakwater reduces wave amplitude from 3m to 0.3m to protect operations. Organizationally part of HE Dubrovnik.
